The Minimalist

2018 is finally ON. So are my dreams and plans. Wardrobe-wise, I don't feel like I am able to make any plans. As much as I at times prefer the minimalism with its cosy neutrals, clean lines and fresh feel, I also love eclectism - sometimes a really crazy, colourful outfit featuring everything I love from print clash to flashy shoes seems to be what I am dying for. See? It's hard for me to choose because I love playing with fashion and style. I love creating characters and bringing different bits of my personality out through my outfits. Does that make me undecided or complex? I don't know and I don't care, I simply wear what I love, whenever I love it. And you should do the same. Live life with no regrets, and start with your outfit.

What do I love know? These days, I'm more into minimal stuff and clean lines. I feel the need to wear shades of white, grey, beige, brown, colours and non-colours with a warm, cosy feel. Perhaps I am trying to protect myself from this horrible British weather, with short gloomy days, wind and rain every single day. I am tired of it and sometimes I feel like I don't want to get out of the bed because of it - that's how I finished the 8 seasons of That 70's Show in about 2-3 months, watching it for the 2nd time all over again. Netflix forever.

So for today, I went for one of my latest pair of boots, an over-knee odyssey of white and a bit of black (the heel) from Zaful, which are lined with a furry velvety fabric which makes them super warm. So even in 8 degrees, you can wear them with a short skirt or shorts, a chunky knit and oversized blazer and feel amazing. This sort of minimal mix is one of my favs - shorts + loose top + oversized blazer, it feels really à la française. The beautiful velvet bag which is Gucci-inspired is from Zaful as well, it's well compartimented and high quality too. I totally love it, it features a beautiful detail on the clasp - two mermaids (who doesn't love mermaids? come ooooon) and this shade of dark forest green is simply classy and goes with almost everything.
